I use BASF high solids clear coat with sunscreen protection. This clear coat is the most expensive product on the market and in my experience the best. You will have a total of 7 coats of clear that are wet sanded and buffed until your set looks like glass. It's extremely durable and glossy.

Should I let my paint dry before I put my bike back together so that the paint doesn't chip or crack when I bolt it down?
Bolt and go! Your paint is ready for reassembly and the road when it leaves our shop. It is perfectly safe to start putting your bike back together immediately without worrying about damaging your new custom paint job.
Will storing my newly painted parts in my cold garage slow the drying time?
Your paint is completely cured and set before it ever leaves our shop so you do not need to be concerned about the effects of cold temperatures on your new paint job.
How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
Please use our online estimate request form. We like it when you are detailed with your thoughts, ideas, and the amount of parts you want custom painted. If you would like us to call you please mention that and we will give you a call between the hours you request.

How do I pick a paint job?
We understand that there are a lot of choices out there and the ideas in your head could be endless! We are trained to help you with this and understand what you really want or spark some new ideas. We will work with you by phone, in person, and through email until you are certain that your final decision is what you can live with later! We like to think of ourselves as paint interpreters.
How long will it take for my paint job to be completed?
The time it takes to complete a job depends on the size, amount of bodywork involved, and the extent of the design. We may have many projects going on at once so precise scheduling is key in receiving a fast turnaround. Usually you are looking at approximately 2-6 weeks, though we always do our best to complete jobs as quickly as possible.
Is there a way to exhange bodywork so that I can keep riding during the paint process?
If you would like we can use one of our sets for your paint job (if we have an extra set in stock). We can find parts if you need us to. Just ask!
Ride While We Paint
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cashier's checks, personal checks, you can call, email, or fax us your credit card information, or you can pay through Paypal at [email protected]. And cash is always welcome, of course!

Do you do complete tear down?
Yes, we will do a complete tear down and reinstall your parts when we are finished. Most of our work is Internet based, however lately a lot of customers from Oregon, Washington, and California have been driving and flying in with their bikes.
How soon can I ride with my newly painted set?
Your new paint will have enough protection to ride full bore as soon as you receive it. Riding 600 miles now will be the same as doing it in 6 months. The only thing that you don't want to do for at least 12 weeks is wax it because the wax will trap solvents in the paint and dull the finish. When it does come time to wax you will see a night and day difference in the paint gloss!
Where does the liability fall when items are damaged during shipping back to the customer?
That is a very good concern. Most of our work goes to the East coast. Our work means so much to us that we spend a total of 3 hours packing each part. The first thing we do is wrap each part in super soft flannel to cover the entire surface. Then we layer them in multiple wraps of large bubble wrap, small bubble wrap, tape, foam, and packing peanuts like a cocoon. You will receive your custom painted parts in top-notch show-quality condition GUARANTEED! If there is any problem with shipping at all we will pay for everything to make it right. You can visit our Testimonials for some customer experiences with our shipping process and just how long it takes to unpack one of these sets! If you want to contact any of our customers, please let us know . . .
What are the shipping costs?
The make and model of your bike is generally the determining factor for how much shipping will cost. We ship through which company will cost you the least according to size, weight, and destination. We will give you a shipping quote before your final payment is due.
